Our Story

Climate philanthropy is growing globally. Yet across Asia, many philanthropists are still unsure of how to engage with climate in ways that match their values, priorities, and local contexts.

Asia Climate Philanthropy Advisory was founded to meet this moment.

Built by funders for funders, ACPA was started by a group of philanthropic leaders in Asia and around the world who recognised both the urgency of the climate challenge and the need for an Asia-rooted platform to support philanthropic engagement in this unique region.

Incubated by Tara Climate Foundation and supported by regional and global partners, we are led by a team with experience on both sides of the giving equation, spanning philanthropy, social impact, and climate systems across Asia. These perspectives give us a nuanced view of Asian-led climate solutions and how we can strengthen the region’s climate philanthropy ecosystem.

Our Role

Climate can feel big, complex, and hard to enter. We help funders find their way.

We start by understanding where philanthropists are now, what they care about, and what kind of impact they want to make.

We do not offer a one-size-fits-all route. Instead, we give donors clear direction, practical information, and trusted connections so they can make informed decisions, see climate through an Asian lens, and support credible opportunities across the region.

Vision

A future where Asia’s climate action delivers lasting benefits for people and the planet.

Mission

To bridge Asia-based philanthropists to meaningful climate action through strategic giving.

Our Values

Our values reflect how we work as a team, with our partners, and the philanthropy community.

Courage

We are willing to have honest conversations. We challenge assumptions, encourage ambition, and speak openly about the realities and urgency of climate change.

Integrity

We believe trust is the foundation of this work. We approach every interaction with honesty, transparency, and consistency. Because we have no financial stake in where philanthropists give, our guidance is grounded purely in what we believe will deliver the greatest impact.

Action

We believe climate urgency calls for progress, not just discussion. We aim to ensure conversations lead to meaningful next steps, helping turn interest into practical engagement.

Collaboration

We know no single organisation can address the climate challenge alone. We work to strengthen the wider ecosystem, share knowledge openly, and connect people and ideas so that we can achieve more through collective efforts.
